This Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement (hereinafter referred to as “Agreement”) describe the terms and conditions applicable to your use of BurningCompass Store, which is identified by the Uniform Resource Locator https://www.burningcompass.com/store/ (hereinafter referred to as “BurningCompass Store”). This agreement has been entered into between you as the user of BurningCompass Store (hereinafter referred to as “User”) and BurningCompass Store.
For the purpose of this Agreement, a “User” is any person who accesses BurningCompass Store for any purpose whatsoever. A User can further be classified into “Seller” or “Vendor” – who offers for sale, and “Customer” or “Buyer” – who accepts the offer for sale of Seller/Vendor.
By accessing or using the services of BurningCompass Store, User signifies his acceptance and acknowledgment to the terms and conditions set forth below, including expressly, but not limited to, those available by Privacy Policy and general principles for the websites of our subsidiaries and affiliates. If the User does not agree to these terms and conditions, it is suggested in his own benefit, not to use the services of BurningCompass Store.
BurningCompass Store reserves the right to revise/modify these terms and conditions at any point of time, by updating this page, and the User’s use of BurningCompass Store after any such revision/modification, signifies User’s acceptance to the revised/modified terms and conditions. Therefore the User is suggested to check these terms and conditions periodically for any changes. These terms and conditions were last updated on February 19th 2022.
Any clause contained in this Agreement, if deemed invalid, void or for any reasons unenforceable, shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining clauses of the terms and conditions.
BurningCompass Store shall offer on its store, articles/goods for sale. There will be clear classification between the products of BurningCompass and products of third parties (Seller/Vendors). There will be products of BurningCompass for sale, available as digital downloads only. We do provide printed maps if the user requires it. We get it printed from a third party and ship it to the user in which Shipping and printing cost is borne by the user. BurningCompass Products like down-loadable, digital map files are solely for internal and personal use. Any other use is strictly prohibited. Additionally, there will be dedicated pages where the Sellers/Vendors shall offer their goods for sale, these Sellers/Vendors goods may be digital downloads or physical goods/articles.
In cases where BurningCompass Store is selling its own goods, BurningCompass Store shall ensure the proper delivery of the goods to the Customers. In any case, BurningCompass Store shall collect the price of the goods sold through BurningCompass Store.
If the Customer asks for printed maps, then the cost of printing as well as the delivery cost will be in addition to the product price and the same will be borne by the Customer only. Similarly, in case of physical goods/articles, the cost of delivery shall be borne by the User/Customer only, in addition to the Product Price.
For BurningCompass products, If the correct product is delivered, then the product can not be returned. However, if the customer asks for a particular product (e.g. US Map), instead he gets Africa or any other map, then according to the requirements the product can be exchanged or money back depending upon the situation.
There may be a scenario when the third party products are out of stock and the user fulfills the payment, in such cases, payment will be returned back.

Users may use BurningCompass Store solely for their own personal or internal purposes. Each User agrees that it shall not copy, reproduce or download any information, text, images, video clips, directories, files, databases or listings available on or through BurningCompass Store (“Content”) for the purpose of reselling or re-distributing Content, mass mailing (via emails, wireless text messages, physical mail or otherwise), operating a business that competes with BurningCompass Store, or otherwise commercially exploiting Content. Systematic retrieval of Content from BurningCompass Store to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database or directory (whether through robots, spiders, automatic devices or manual processes) without written permission from BurningCompass Store is prohibited. In addition, use of the content or materials for any purpose not expressly permitted in this Agreement is prohibited.
The Seller/Vendor shall be solely responsible for the content provided there at the dedicated page for the Seller/Vendor and BurningCompass Store bears no liability for any such content appearing on the page dedicated to the Seller/Vendor. On receiving any complaint against an objectionable content, BurningCompass Store reserves the right, but not the liability, to remove objectionable content from the page or disable access to the objectionable content.
The User agrees to use the services provided by BurningCompass Store, its affiliates, consultants and contracted companies, for lawful purposes only. User agrees not to violate any laws, third party rights or our policies.
The User agrees not to post false, inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or libelous content (including personal information).
The User agrees not to use services of BurningCompass Store, if he is not able to form legally binding contracts, is less than 18 years of age or is temporarily or indefinitely suspended from BurningCompass Store.
BurningCompass Store reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order placed for a product that is listed at an incorrect price. This shall be regardless of whether the order has been confirmed and/or payment levied. In the event the payment has been processed by BurningCompass Store, the same shall be credited to your account and duly notified to you by email. Similarly, if a listed item is out of stock or mistakenly listed, then also BurningCompass reserves the right to cancel or refuse the order
The User agrees not to transfer his BurningCompass Store account (including feedback) and User ID to another party without BurningCompass Store’s consent.
The User acknowledges and agrees that BurningCompass Store does not take any responsibility to calculate, report or remit sales or any other taxes which may be assessed or owing to the Taxing Authorities of any jurisdiction for transactions that arise in connection with the use of the site.
Through the Site, BurningCompass Store provides an electronic web-based platform for exchanging information between buyers and suppliers of products and services. Users are hereby made aware that there may be risks of dealing with people acting under false pretenses.
The User agrees to provide authentic and true information. BurningCompass Store reserves the right to confirm and validate the information and other details provided by the User at any point of time. If upon confirmation such User details are found not to be true (wholly or partly), BurningCompass Store has the right in its sole discretion to reject the registration and debar the User from using the Services of BurningCompass Store, and/or other affiliated websites without prior intimation whatsoever.
Except in cases where the goods sold, belongs to BurningCompass Store itself, BurningCompass Store acts merely as an information intermediary or as a booking agent to facilitate/integrate transactions between the Buyers and Sellers through various platforms for various Vendors and shall in no way be responsible for any quality of product, replacement, damages, additional cost, losses, expenses and/or taxes incurred by Users qua the products. In no event shall BurningCompass Store, its directors, officials, representatives and employees be liable for any damages relating to products sold through its various platforms. All buyers and sellers who are exposed to each other through this site must exercise normal commercial caution in mutual dealings and BurningCompass Store accepts no responsibility for any wrongdoing by any side.
BurningCompass Store will not be responsible for any damage suffered by Users from use of the services on this site. This without limitation includes loss of revenue / data resulting from delays, non-deliveries, missed deliveries, or service interruptions as may occur because of any act / omission of the Vendor. This disclaimer of liability also applies to any damages or injury caused by any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use of record, whether for breach of contract, tortuous behavior, negligence, or under any other cause of action.
BurningCompass strives to ensure the accuracy of the maps we provide. However, as a subsidiary of OHOMAPS LLP, BurningCompass is not liable for any inaccuracies that may appear in the maps available on our site.
The User expressly agrees that the use of service(s) of BurningCompass Store is at the User’s sole risk. The service(s) of BurningCompass Store is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. BurningCompass Store, its affiliates, employees, agents, consultants, contracted companies make no warranties of any kind, whether expressed or implied, for the service it is providing or as to the results that may be obtained from use of the service, or as to the accuracy, reliability or content of any information, service or merchandise provided through this service. BurningCompass Store does not represent or warrant maintaining the confidentiality of information; although BurningCompass Store’s current practice is to utilize reasonable efforts to maintain such confidentiality. It is also carefully understood that all warranties, implied or express, take place between the Vendors and the Buyers.
The maps that are purchased or downloaded from BurningCompass Store are for personal or internal use of the Organization. These maps cannot be used for re-sale or any other commercial activity. A legal license has to be purchased for any use other than the stated above.
The discount offers are valid for a limited period as specified on the website. Current offers are valid for repeat purchases and for 15 days after the issue of the discount coupon. The newsletter subscription discount offer is valid only on National Geographic maps, Digital Maps and Flash Maps. The user needs to register the email id to avail the discount coupon.
This agreement shall be construed in accordance with the applicable laws of India. The Courts of New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim or disputes arising out or pertaining hereto.
